Just thought I would be selfish and say, "There is sunshine in my soul today!" Got the boys on the bus at 7:00, Rylan & Hailey are still sleeping, my house is picked up & EVERYTHING is in its place, as well as it's QUITE! For all you quite morning coffee drinkers, I am experiencing the moment minus the coffee of course. It reminds me of being at home when mom would get up before all of us and have her coffee while reading the newspaper! I haven't had a morning like this in months. It's going to be a good day! Enjoy my picture of the winter snow in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. I did tons of editing on pictures this weekend and this happened to be one of them. It's one of my favorites!

A Mommy Moment...
Just thought I would be selfish and say, "There is sunshine in my soul today!" Got the boys on the bus at 7:00, Rylan & Hailey are still sleeping, my house is picked up & EVERYTHING is in its place, as well as it's QUITE! For all you quite morning coffee drinkers, I am experiencing the moment minus the coffee of course. Melissa, I know exactly how you feel. The twins started VPK this year. They are gone for three hours a day. I didn't realize how noisy my house is when there here. It's very QUITE!! I sometimes feel guilty sitting in the room with no noise. But then, I get over it really quick. I hope you many more quite mornings!! Love, Kelly
Beautiful picture at Chetola. It was cold but the mountains and the snow were beautiful. It was a nice time for all of us. I love my peaceful moments and quiet time! We all should take time to find our inner self and you can only find it during a quiet time! Love Mom
We had great fun. Hunter rode in the truck with me and Grammy Barbie. The sides of the mountain were being cultivated and were covered in green sprigging. Hunter gave us an education on the way up the mountain about everything he had learned in his Earth Science class about erosion and the rocks and the minerals that make up the rocks to make a mountain. We had to leave a day early because of a predicted snow storm. Did not like the idea of driving down from 3000 feet elevation at 15 miles an hour with ice on the road. Next time we will have to take James, Steph, Jeff and kids with us. Dad
