What a fun night we had! Mark & I took the boys to the State Fair last Thursday Night in Columbia to see the band Daughtry, who's lead singer is Chris Daughtry, who was on American Idol 2 seasons ago. Day of Fire was the opening band. I had not heard of them until now and they were pretty good. They had a Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers sound for any of you "rock" heads that may know those groups. They got the crowd rock'n before Daughtry came on and opened up with Crashed off their album. The boys stood up and started singing and waving their glow sticks up in the air. It was quite a sight. Mark & I just laughed. Daughtry did break out in the middle of there set with an Alice in Chains song, Nutshell that really rocked! Mark told me I was really showing my age when I broke out naming the album the song was off of as well as singing it! Hey, I was just trying to be young & hip! LOL We met up with my girlfriend Amanda & her husband Greg after the concert who were there also. We were able to get a few pictures up close of the bass player JP when he came out to sign autographs, but were out of luck of getting any of Chris. I guess there is always next time. Anyways, this was one of our big highlights before leaving South Carolina. I am so glad we went!
