Hunter's Game: click on the arrow
Joshua's Game: click on the arrow
The boys got recruited to play basketball this season. The season started and the teams that each of them are on needed more players. They have friends playing and asked Hunter & Josh if they wanted to play. Joshua showed up at his first practice with Mark and started launching shots from 3 point land. Mark overheard a parent say, "Alright, we've got a shooter!" Apparently, the team was in need of a shooter...though he was launching them from 3 point land, he needs to work on making them from 3 point land! He's got the strength to get the ball to the rim or backboard, but still needs to improve on that accuracy. For not ever playing the game, he picked it up very quickly and is one of the better players on his team!Mark & I are really enjoying watching the both of them play. I am helping coach Hunter's team and having TONS of FUN! We have practice 2 nights a week and games on Saturdays. Hunter has made great strides in picking up the game also. He has become a starter and in his first game, I walked up to the coach and told him that Hunter had never played before and he's a little unsure as to what to do. He looked at me and said, "That's ok, he's one of my tallest players & he's a body." Bless his heart, he played defense the entire game, even when his team was on offense...so I had to explain to him after the game the difference between offense & defense. His coach has him playing center & a post position, so I've been working with him on catching the ball & shooting the down low shot! He's coming along and is a good little hustler & defensive player! He' one of those defensive players that if he was guarding me, he would make me mad because I'm just not able to get the ball because he plays defense sooooo well! He sticks to his man like fly to glue paper....Will give you an update later on how they do this weekend, enjoy watching their games!

Absolutely wonderful!!!! Hunter #11 was working really hard to get that ball, and Josh #6 is a little scrapper, almost made his basket. Sorry he hurt his knee but you'll have to tell him the motto- "no pain, no gain". Great exercise running the court and making friends and lots of fun. They are both coming of age in the world of sports now. Keep up the good work and keep your great team spirit. Love Grammy Barbie and PaPa
