On Monday the boys were out of school for parent conferences. My girlfriend and I watched each other kids out on the playground while meeting with their teachers. Ginger made the following entry on her blog about her time with Hunter. Just had to share her entry, it's such a funny story and it's soooo Hunter!

Just a funny little thing that happened to me today. A friend and I swapped children for conferences today. We were at the playground and her son said, "Everyone, I've lost my contact. Can we look for it?" So we all got on our hands and knees to look. A few minutes later he said, "Found it!" and started to put it in his eye. I quickly said, "Umm, it's dirty, I don't think you should do that." He said, "Oh, right." And ran over to the water fountain. I didn't like that idea much either but I figured he knew what to do. Later I told his mom that he lost his contact, but then found it. She looked puzzled and said, "He doesn't wear contacts." Duhhhhhhh. He got me. I had never seen him wear glasses but I thought that must be because he wears contacts. OK, next story. Now this same child was digging in the sand with some other children. He suggested that we dig to China. Then, he looked at me puzzled and said, "Wait, if children from America dig to China, then where do children from China dig to (notice the Asian connection)?" I laughed out loud. "Well, I guess we dig to America." Funny kid.

Leave it to Hunter to "get you"! He has a wonderful mind and imagination. The real thinker in the family who is "always thinking". He has gotten PaPa several times. Will never forget the lesson on the environment he gave me on our ride up to Chetola!! Hug him real tight for me. Love Mom
