The weekend

We are busy, busy, busy this weekend, but wanted to let you know that Mark made to Alaska safe and sound. He left early early Friday morning, they were 1 day and 30 minutes behind schedule. I was woken up from the after burners of the jets and tanker taking off at 4:30 am Friday morning. They were schedule to leave right at 4:00 am Thursday morning, but were pushed back a day because of weather. We have had really high winds this week that the tanker couldn't get in to pick them up, so they moved take off back to Friday morning. The winds were better, but it was super cold that morning. That is why the jets were so loud at take off. We had a second group leave at the same time Saturday morning, just as loud. Nothing like getting woken up out of a good sleep! I have been helping some friends of ours that are dual military. I have been watching their little girl. Her mommy is down at the academy in Okinawa right now and her daddy had to go in the last two mornings to launch out the jets, so she stayed the night with us both nights. She so cute, very shy and quite, though is very comfortable and happy when she is here. I have never really had the opportunity to do service like this among our "squadron" family. It's been such a good feeling to help. The kids just adore her, especially Rylan. You would think she was part of our family! Anyways, we are headed to a birthday party this afternoon. General Conference is this weekend so I will catch what I can of it on our computer. It will be neat to hear our new prophet President Monson speak, since the passing of President Hinckley. The kids are on Spring Break all of next week, so we will figure out what we will be doing I'm sure Sunday night. Well that's the latest here at Misawa. Hope all is well for everyone and enjoying your Spring weather and FLOWERS! I can't wait for it to get warmer...it's around the corner! Love to all, M~

The picture of Rylan is one I took last summer after playing. It was bath time and I was getting Hailey out of the bath and getting her jammies on. As she was getting out, I told Rylan he was next. Well as you can see, before I could get back in the bathroom to put him, he beat me to it...Clothes and All! This is one of my favorite pictures of him.

Oh My, Ry Ry looks like he knows he's been caught!!. I will never forget the time in October at your home in South Carolina one evening I went in to put his bath water and bubbles on to run and I asked you if he was ready for his bath and before you could say "yes", he had taken off running through the kitchen and living room and down the hall before I could catch him, dove into the bath tub fully dressed. I thought I would just die laughing and all he did once he got in the tub was come up wet head and clothes and just laughed and laughed and the more I laughed, the more he laughed. Good memories for me. Love Mom
