We are so glad we got to talk to Papa on his birthday which was July 26, 2008. Papa turned 67! All the kids got to talked to him. Hailey told him about her big secret...not sure what that was about. Rylan told him all about his trains and sang Happy Birthday to him and Hunter and Joshua told him they heard from Cash Register Jack...(a story between the boys and Papa that started in SC) and He got a promotion, he is now Manager Jack! His promotion has him no longer working in our attic. His new job is now at Walmart...go figure! So, they wanted to know if Papa had ran into him yet, since Papa is always going to Walmart? This story has been ongoing for the last three years between the boys and Papa about their "make believe" friend Jack, who lived in attic of house in South Carolina. You put the three of them together and their imaginations can wander and have you laughing on days in! Can't wait to talk with you again Papa and get the latest update on Jack! Happy Birthday Papa...we hope we get to celebrate next years birthday with you in Hawaii...wouldn't that be fun! Love, Mark & Melissa and the four peas in a pod!

You are 67 years YOUNG! We tried to call, but you must have been out having some birthday fun! I love the picture of you and mom, you both look so happy and healthy. I am glad we had our visit in June, since we did not get to come home this summer to see you! It was busy, but a lot of fun! Hopefully next year we can all be together for your birthday in Hawaii. I hope you had a good birthday, even though mom is not there to share it. I know she misses you, as we do as well! They kids all say a big, HAPPY BIRTHDAY and I LOVE YOU! Talk to you soon!

Dear Melissa, thank you very much for the birthday pictures. I really enjoyed them. Looking at all of them really makes me appreciate your family and how lucky they are to be in Japan enjoying and seeing that part of the country, the culture, and I can tell that each of you is really enjoying life. Yes, I hope maybe next year we will have birthday in Hawaii. Continue to take pictures of the countryside. Once you leave there, you will always have those to enjoy the rest of your life. Hi Melissa and all, finally getting back to the blog after my month+ in Durango. All the pictures are great.
