Hunter, Joshua, and Hailey all played indoor soccer this winter. They actually played this before basketball. I was sure glad they had something to do during winter since it is bitter cold and we have tons of snow. It also kept us busy and passed the time away while Mark was gone. They did have a tot league for Rylan but it was up to parents of the kids that were playing to run the practices and they didn't play any games. It wasn't worth the cost of $45 plus I didn't have the time to put into the practices. So, Rylan tagged along with me mostly to Hailey's practice and I would practice kicking the ball with him over on the slide lines while waiting for Hailey's practice to get done. I have to tell ya that if he could have gotten out there to play with Hailey he sure would have. He is not far behind them all! Hunter and Hailey had a pretty good season but Joshua's team dominated his age group and Joshua had an exceptional season of scoring 13 goals over seven weeks of games. The Galaxy Dragons were undefeatable. As their last game approached, I think they got a bit cocky and thought they didn't have to play as hard as they did all season. The first half they found themselves behind 3-0 and had to come out after half time and play catch up. It was a VERY exciting game! I felt like I was back in high school at a basketball game when we were down by one with 30 seconds left on the clock and it's tense, the crowd is screaming and parents are sitting on the edge of their seats biting their finger nails. I couldn't sit still and eventually had to get up and walk around. Once the buzzer finally sounded, the excitement that electrified the gym, quickly dissipated at our end of the sidelines for I knew and the kids knew they didn't get that last goal to win. They fought their way back into the game and lost 3-2. The disappointment on all their little faces was a sad sight to see. Though it was a good learning experience for them all to taste the sting of lose. The good thing is, they are all back together again with Coach Knolla and Coach Ryan for spring soccer and already are 2-0 for the season.

Hunter is getting so tall. So glad you got your hair cut. You look like you are really having a fun time with soccor. I hope you will keep it up. Also, so proud of you and your Geography Bee. You are so smart and well read. Keep up the good work. We love you.. Grammy Barbie and PaPa
