What a great year for Hunter, Joshua, & Hailey. I had the opportunity make a slide show for Hailey’s kindergarten class of their entire year of activities. One of those activities was a fun day on the playground with me and my camera. As you can see from the pictures above, we had quite a fun time taking our group pictures. I was glad I had the opportunity to make a special memory for all of them of their first year in school. Ms. Turner was a fantastic teacher! Joshua and I spent the last few weeks of school working on Miss Piggy. Miss Piggy was his end of the year Pinata project he had to complete for Spanish. I’m sure you all can agree with me that when these projects come home usually we are the ones finding ourselves doing the project for them. With this one though, I have to give credit to Joshua for coming up with the idea of Miss Piggy after he paper mached his balloon. Though, I was the one that ended up hot gluing and burning my finger each time I glued a piece of pink tissue paper onto her body. She turned out rather cute and we had a few laughs while working on her. Joshua also participated in his 3rd grade Spelling Bee and got 2nd place overall! Hunter graduated from 6th grade and was awarded for his time serving on Safety Patrol. I realized this year was a growing year for him and I think we can all agree that we had one of those years in elementary school. I know mine was 4th grade when my dad was gone to Turkey for the year. Man how I hated him being gone! I think Hunter’s year was somewhat like that with Mark being deployed. I am really proud of how he persevered and got through the few bumps he had. I know he learned a lot about responsibility this year and is maturing into a remarkable young man. I know he is ready for the year to be over and just have a nice relaxing summer!
