Spikey Hair Mom

My little man decieded that he wanted a new hair style. For weeks, all I heard around the house was, "I want Spikey Hair Mom, like Josh." So after the Pinewood Derby, all the boys needed haircuts so we lined them up at the base barber shop. Rylan hopped right up in the barber chair and he preceded to tell the little Japanese man who barely understood any English that he wanted Spikey Hair, That he (the Japanese man) understood. So as Mark and I sat in the background watching our little 4 year baby change into a little man, my heart sunk because I realized Rylan is growing up. He was so excited and grinned from ear to ear as he watched in the mirror the little Japanese man cut his hair. Once finished he hopped down off the barber chair and looked at us and well, we just fell out of our seat at how much his hair cut changed his looks. So the following day on Sunday after church, I was laying on the couch and he came up to me and said, "Mom I want my long hair back." I just giggled with a smile and said, "Well Rylan mommy can't make your long hair come back. It's going to have to grow back." He just looked at me with a perplexed look and was seriously thinking about what I said. He than replied, "How long is that going to take?" I am glad to report it's been a month and it's grown out quite a bit.
