Joshua has recently started showing interest in photography, so over the weekend I had my camera out and let him take some pictures as we talked about different elements that should be included in your photograph. I happen to be the lucky one to be his subject. Besides cutting my chin off and using the flash in the first picture, he did a really good job at showing off my "youthful glow" wouldn't ya say. I put my camera on my tripod and he was in control of everything else...lighting, focus, telling me where to stand or sit and to smile or not. He was a real character behind the camera. It was really fun spending that time with him. Needless to say, we did a lot of laughing and goofing off! I thought the sepia tone was really nice touch. (I added the originals in color so you can see both color & sepia tones.)

Wow! He did a GREAT job at the second one! The first one isn't bad for a "small photographer"! Kaylie usually gets our feet instead of our heads!! WOW you look young still! :)
Wow! Wow! Wow! Glamour Shot. The technique is wonderful. Can see your frosting/color blend and the black and light tones are great. The more experience you both get is showing up in your pictures. You have got to open a photo shoot shop over there for families on base. Really pretty pictures of you Melissa. Tell Josh he did a great job. I know you and Mark wanted your picture on here so when Mark goes to Alaska he can see your beautiful face every morning and every night. Love Mom
Mom...you are too much! :)
AWESOME! You will be glad to teach him so you can get in more shots. Especially when Mark is not there to help take pictures. He did a great job. Glad you were ready for the pictures......he could have taken them while you were still getting dressed. OOOOOH. Better keep you door closed in case he sneaks up on you next time. They are really great pictures of you and mom is right, they will be treasures for Mark to see of you while he is away. Take care.... Just finished my second class everyone!! Straight A's again!!! Yeah! I guess my brain still works. Talk to you soon.
Love,
Stephanie
Okay, Okay...I told Mark about all your comments and he laughed and said, "He's not going to be looking a my pretty face morning & night, he'll be looking at the "Eskimo Calendar!" for the next three weeks! Ha ha ha...you guys are regular comedians! That's awesome Steph about your "A". :)
Love ya!
The Eskimo Calendar will only have walruses and seals on it. I know he will grab a peek at you Melissa. Great news on your A's Steph. Your brain works day and night, every second and every minute. So proud of you too. Love to all Mom
Mimi: Pictures look great, Joshua did a good job, you look like you are still in college not the mother of four. I need a hobby and wish I had the patience for photography. What a great recreation for Joshua, he may be your creative child. Like all others I know Mark will enjoy the blog while he is away.
Great job Stephanie. Your kids dont have anything on you. Your mom and dad certainly can be proud of their genetics passed to their children.
I spent the morning trying to find my remote - it was in the telephone cradle and the phone was on top of the dryer.
Melissa can you put the pictures I sent to you on the blog of madison and aubry or do you need a disc. I was just curious to see how they look.
I purchased my first Vivi dress yesterday-it was senior citizen day and I got an xtra 15% off, they practically gave it to me. Its red and white seersucker with ice cream cones on it and shoes to match. Its for grandpa david to dress her in to take her to the pop shop, which is an old fashioned ice cream shop in Collingswood. She is always good there. Did not mean to write a letter. Ha ha. Nasty weather here this weekend. luv Grammy T
Congratulations on your first dress of many Tuttie! And the remote control issue is I think considered pre-ahlzheimers or is it call old-timers. HA HA .. I thought that was pretty funny. That is one place I have not found my TV remote. I have found it in the Fridge before!! Just bought Jeff his first car....a 1983 Mercedes! It is in amazing condition and is soooo fun. We picked it up for a steal and looks pretty new. We bought it from a guy who refurbished it. Needless to say it has been taken care of really well. We got lucky and Jeffy finally feels like a real adult with his own car. He just finished washing it. Remember the fun days of your first car.
Take care,
Love
Stephanie
